ALAC Ratifies ALAC Statement on the Terms of Reference of the Root Server Scaling Study

The ALAC today ratified its Statement on the Terms of Reference of the Root Server Scaling Study, as a reply to the public consultation of the same name.

The Statement was drafted by Patrick Vande Walle, co-chair of the DNS Security Working Group of At-Large, as a reply to the public consultation on the same subject. The statement below was open for comments by members of At-Large from 12th July to 20th July 2009 at https://st.icann.org/alac-docs/index.cgi?alac_statement_on_terms_of_reference_of_the_root_scaling_study_al_alac_st_0709_4. No amendments to the draft were proposed during that time though several supporting statements were made.

ALAC Statement on the Terms of Reference of the Root Server Scaling Study

The At-Large Community welcomes and strongly supports the terms of reference for the Root Scaling Study as proposed. This excellent document clearly identifies the issues at stake. We look forward to the findings and the model that will be suggested by this expert team.
